Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has a firm fan in the shape of Leeds United sporting director Nicola Salerno.
Allegri worked as Cagliari coach between 2008 and 2010, the same club at which Salerno served as sporting director before joining Leeds this summer, following in the footsteps of former Cagliari owner Massimo Cellino.
Cagliari saw Allegri excel in the dugout, earning the coach's job at AC Milan as a result.
He is now at Juventus and Salerno continues to hold the 47-year-old in the highest esteem.

Asked about Allegri by Sky Italia, the Leeds sporting director replied: "I think he is a genius."
Were Allegri ever able to be tempted to Elland Road, Salerno's words suggest that he would push hard for Leeds to appoint the Italian tactician.
