Kolo Toure is now looking forward to getting Liverpool’s league season back on track with a win over Arsenal this weekend.

A brace from Raheem Sterling and a goal from Lazar Markovic allowed Liverpool to see off plucky Championship leaders Bournemouth in their League Cup quarter-final game last night.

With the Reds now in the last four of the competition with a genuine chance of landing a trophy this term, Toure has now turned his attention towards the league.

Liverpool have failed to recreate last season’s form in this campaign and after last weekend’s 3-0 defeat at Manchester United, have dropped out of the top half of the table.

“We only think about the next game, which is Arsenal”, the defender told the club’s official site.

Arsenal, who have also been inconsistent this season, are heading to Anfield this Sunday on the back of a morale-boosting 4-1 win over Newcastle last weekend and the Reds know that they have a tough task at hand.

But Toure is looking for all three points against the Gunners and getting Liverpool back into the top half of the table before the busy festive period.

"It'll be a really tough game [against Arsenal] because at the moment, I think after the loss we had against [Manchester] United, we need the three points. We'll play at home and will take advantage of that.

"We will try to play our game, passing the ball well and fighting for every ball, and try to get the three points."
