Juan Mata has revealed that Radamel Falcao has been playing well in training and the Colombian is biding his time for an opportunity to get into the Manchester United starting eleven.

Falcao joined the Old Trafford outfit this summer on a season-long loan deal from Monaco with the Red Devils having the option of making the move permanent at the end of the season.

The Colombian forward came to England with a big reputation, but has so far failed to stamp his authority on the Premier League this term.

Injuries have disrupted his season and although he has scored once this term, he has made only three league starts for the Red Devils.

Mata has praised Falcao for his professionalism and commitment and said that it is only a matter of time before the Colombian becomes a regular starter as he has been in terrific form in training.

"He is training very well and he is waiting for his opportunity like the great professional he is, like the great team-mate he is", Mata told the club’s official site.

"It makes me happy that he played [against Liverpool] and it will make me even happier if he can score because he has been playing well in training."

Before joining Manchester United, Falcao scored a staggering 155 goals in 199 appearances for three different European clubs.
