AC Milan are losing the race for Croatian talent Marcelo Brozovic to Arsenal.

Filippo Inzaghi's side are keen on snapping up the Dinamo Zagreb talent, but are reluctant to meet the Croatian club's €10m asking price.

The story is different for Arsenal though, whose boss Arsene Wenger is an admirer of Brozovic and is convinced he is heading towards a big future in the game.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Arsenal have brushed past AC Milan and into pole position for Brozovic.

Wenger's priority for next month's transfer window is to sign another defender, but the Frenchman also wants Brozovic securing if possible.

An attacking midfielder by trade, the 22-year-old has been capped seven times for Croatia at international level.

Brozovic clocked up eight appearances in Dinamo Zagreb's Europa League campaign this season.
