Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has refused to confirm whether he will be given money to spend in the January transfer window.

The Northern Irishman lavished north of £100m on new players over the summer, but has seen Liverpool go backwards in the Premier League table and crash out of the Champions League at the group stage with just five points from six games.

It has been speculated that Rodgers will again look to bolster his squad next month, especially with Simon Mignolet having been dropped in goal and Daniel Sturridge's injury problems continuing.

But Rodgers, who was not talkative in a press conference today, brushed aside questions on whether the club's owners will give him more money to spend.

"I'm not thinking about that a the moment", he said, when asked.

Rodgers has spent over £200m on players since taking over at Liverpool, but the Reds currently sit eleventh in the Premier League and are 18 points behind leaders Chelsea following just 16 matches.

Liverpool are next in action on Sunday at Anfield against Arsenal.
