Over the weekend Barcelona will show him around their facilities, hold talks, provide a VIP experience at the club's La Liga clash with Cordoba and introduce Odegaard and his father Hans-Erik to Messi.

Barcelona are determined to do all they can to win the race for Odegaard, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid having recently moved into pole position.

The Catalans are currently impeded by a transfer ban and have been looking at agreeing a deal for Odegaard which would see him remain at Norwegian side Stromsgodset until January 2016.
