Louis van Gaal has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson is happy with Manchester United’s current run of form, but he personally wants more from his team.

After a slow start to the season, the Red Devils have picked up steam over the last one month or so, winning six games on the trot.

They have climbed up to third in the Premier League table and some are even speculating about a title charge in the second half of the season.

Van Gaal revealed that the legendary former Manchester United manager is pleased with the team’s form at the moment and the work that the Dutchman has carried out at Old Trafford this term.

But the former Ajax boss stressed that he is looking for more and is demanding his team display better performances over the course of the season.

"I have spoken with Sir Alex Ferguson", Dutchman said in a press conference.

"He says there is not a problem. We have won.

“But for me it is also about the performance. If we perform well shall win more matches. That is what I want."
