Arsene Wenger feels sure that his Arsenal side can enjoy a strong festive period which would put them in good shape heading into January.

The Gunners currently sit sixth in the Premier League table and find themselves 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea and ten behind second placed Manchester City.

Arsenal play Liverpool tomorrow, QPR on Boxing Day, West Ham on 28th December and then Southampton on 1st January.

Wenger views the four games as crucial and has confidence his side can grab a good points haul from the run of fixtures.

"We want to have continuity", he told a press conference.

"It’s a very important period now.

"You start the Christmas period now and over the Christmas period you play four Premier League games.

"Can we have a good run over Christmas? I’m sure we will come back strongly in the league and when you get over the hill in January we look towards the end, so how you come out of the Christmas period is of course very important", Wenger added.
