Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has rubbished speculation that the Italian giants want to snap up Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon.

It has been claimed that Inter are keen on signing Lennon in next month's transfer window as they look to bolster their squad.

But Ausilio has wasted little time in denying talk Inter want Lennon and has categorically explained the Tottenham man is not the type of player they are looking for.

"Lennon? We will not try, we are not interested in him", Ausilio told Sport Mediaset.

"Lennon is definitely not the type of player we're looking for", he added.

Inter have struggled in Serie A this season and currently find themselves floundering in mid-table.

Poor results cost Walter Mazzarri his job as coach, with the new man in charge former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
