Arsene Wenger has revealed that Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud was sick before his side's game against Liverpool at Anfield.

Giroud struck Arsenal's second goal of the afternoon, at the time making it 2-1 to Wenger's side in the 64th minute.

The Frenchman was brought off in the 82nd minute, while Liverpool then grabbed an injury time equaliser through a Martin Skrtel header.

Wenger was pleased with Giroud's display in attack, and all the more so given he was unwell yesterday.

"Yes [he played well]", Wenger told Sky Sports.

"He was quite sick overnight a bit, and still, it took him time to get into the game.

"In the second half he was dangerous", the Arsenal manager added.

Wenger also admitted to Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho giving his side problems at Anfield.

"In the first half especially, Coutinho and Lallana gave us problems behind our midfield.

"At half-time we rectified our positions and gave them more problems."
