Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants Carlo Ancelotti to be Real Madrid’s long-term manager in the same manner as Sir Alex Ferguson was at Manchester United.

Ferguson retired from football management in the summer of 2013 after spending more than 26 years at Manchester United and winning 13 league titles and two Champions League crowns, amongst various other honours.

Now Perez wants that kind of stability at Real Madrid and feels Ancelotti has the ability to emulate the Scot’s enduring brilliance at the Bernabeu.

The Italian ended Real Madrid’s long wait for their 10th European Cup last season and his team are currently on a 22-game winning run this term.
