Legendary manager Arrigo Sacchi has opined that Real Madrid look tired and are not playing at the same level as they did earlier this year.
Praising his countryman, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, he was quoted by AS as saying: “Carlo has overseen a work of art. He is a humble and intelligent man and he deserves this success.”
Acknowledging that the European champions always possessed a good team, but lacked spirit, he added: “Real Madrid had great players, but they weren’t a great team: now their play is not just attractive but also effective.”
The two-time European Cup winning Italian manager served as Real Madrid’s director of football for about a year during the mid-2000s.

Talking about the future of the team that just won their fourth trophy of the year, he added: “I see a tired team. They keep winning but they aren’t playing at the level that they were before. Hopefully they can use the winter break to recharge their batteries.”
Current La Liga leaders Real Madrid will look to start strongly in their bid to win La Liga when the season resumes after the current winter break.
