Real Sociedad full-back Carlo Martinez admits that David Moyes has become much more relaxed at the club and the team are comfortable playing under the Scotsman.

The former Manchester United boss took charge of the Sociedad team earlier this year after Jagoba Arrasate was sacked after a poor start to the season.

Sociedad have failed to win in three league games and are three points above the relegation zone, but Martinez has praised the Scotsman’s work at La Real.

The Spaniard feels Moyes has integrated well with the squad and is a much more relaxed person now than he was a few months ago.

“He has gradually integrated with us”, Martinez told Basque daily Mundo Deportivo.

“When he came here, he looked like a straightforward coach, who admires discipline and likes to have everything under his control.

“Now he is dealing with our style of football and is much more relaxed.

“We are now in a transitional period, the team are comfortable and happy but better results will bring greater satisfaction.”

Real Sociedad were denied a first away league win of the season by a last-minute equaliser at Levante yesterday which resulted in a 1-1 draw.
