Former Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has advised Jurgen Klopp to bring in Miroslav Klose at Borussia Dortmund in January.

Dortmund are struggling this season and are second from bottom after they suffered their tenth league defeat of their campaign this weekend.

German champions in 2011 and 2012, relegation is a real possibility for BVB this term and Heynckes feels Klopp needs to add some experience to their squad.

Klose, who holds the record for most number of World Cup goals, is currently at Lazio and has already scored four goals this season in all competitions for the Romans.

While age is not on the side of the 36-year-old forward, the former Bayern Munich manager feels Klose would add vital experience to the Dortmund squad which might come in handy in a relegation battle.

“He is a great player and a great guy”, Heynckes told Sky Deutschland.

“Of course, he doesn’t have the athleticism or the form and class that he had few years ago, but he could still be of great help for Klopp’s team.”

Klose scored 71 goals in 135 international appearances for Germany and is a double Bundesliga winner with Bayern Munich.
