Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana admits that his side would have been bitterly disappointed if they failed to get anything against Arsenal yesterday.

A 97th minute equaliser from Martin Skrtel helped Liverpool to snatch a point from the jaws of defeat against the Gunners at Anfield.

With close to 64% possession and 27 attempts at goal, Liverpool were the more dominant team yesterday, but they found themselves staring at yet another defeat before Skrtel intervened.

Lallana believes the Reds were the better team and deserved to win the game at Anfield on the basis of their performance.

He admits that it would have been a very disappointing outcome if Liverpool failed to get anything out of the game against Arsenal after dominating proceedings for 90 minutes.

"I'm thoroughly disappointed we didn't take all three points, but there was a good feeling about the whole atmosphere and the performance today – and it's been like that for the last few games”, the midfielder told the club’s official site.

"We feel we're turning a corner and getting a little bit of rhythm into our game.

“That goal was huge for us at the end because we would have been thoroughly disappointed with losing, but it was a point, a good performance and we move on."
