Former Mainz custodian Heinz Muller insists that the impressive form of German giants Bayern Munich is no coinicidence as those who work there are "purely successful people".

The 36-year-old was drafted into the Bayern Munich squad temporarily as cover for club number one Manuel Neuer in the absence of Pepe Reina and Tom Starke, both of whom were out injured.

But now that Reina is fit again and Starke has returned to training, Muller's short engagement with the club has ended.

As the former Barnsley goalkeeper ponders over his future course of action, he took time to heap praise on the club that helped revive his career.

"Their success is no coincidence", Muller told German daily Bild.

"The people who work there are purely successful people.

"I have rarely got to know so many success-obsessed people who are really nice people at the same time."

Although he was unable to make it to the playing eleven at the Allianz Arena, Muller insists that he enjoyed every moment of his stay, even relishing the opportunity to concede goals.

"Even every goal I conceded was enjoyable, given the circumstances.

"Although I conceded surprisingly few."
