Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has lauded the quality of the Premier League's pitches compared to those he strutted his stuff on in France.

Sissoko joined Newcastle in January 2013 after refusing to sign an extension to his contract with Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse.

He wasted little time in establishing himself in the Premier League and is in no mood to look back to life in France, feeling the Premier League is an all-round better playing experience.

"Straight away, what changes is the quality of the pitches", he explained to Toulouse's official site.

"Every weekend you play on pitches all as beautiful as each other.

"The stadiums are also impressive.

"The atmosphere is totally different from what can be seen in France. At every game, the stadiums are full."

So far this term Sissoko has clocked up 15 appearances in the Premier League for the Magpies, scoring once and providing one assist.
