Manchester United are at risk of losing some of their young talented players next summer with their contracts expiring at the end of this season.

Louis van Gaal is known for valuing and nurturing young talent and the Dutchman has given opportunities to youngsters at Old Trafford this term.

But the former Ajax boss is at risk of losing players next summer as their contracts are scheduled to expire at the end of this season.

Tyler Blackett, Paddy McNair, Jesse Lingard, Reece James and Andreas Pereira have all featured for the first team at Old Trafford this term, but their deals will run their course at the end of this campaign.

McNair and Blackett held together the Manchester United rearguard when most of their first team defenders were either injured or suspended.

The club have been in discussions with Blackett over a new contract, but the future of the other players is still unclear and several have already started considering other options, according to Dutch outlet Soccer News.

Van Gaal will need to take a call on the contracts of some of his players or risk losing someone in the summer who he would not like to lose.
