Cruzeiro sporting director Alexandre Mattos has made it clear that they won’t accept any bid of less than €15m for their midfield starlet Lucas Silva.

The midfielder has been a target for Real Madrid and Arsenal, and in recent weeks has been heavily linked with a potential move away from Brazil.

Cruzeiro have already rejected two bids from the European champions, the last of which was of €12m, as they are holding out for their €15m asking price, which the Gunners are thought to have indicated they will meet; Silva though prefers Real Madrid.

Mattos has urged Real Madrid to show them respect as they look to buy Cruzeiro’s prized asset.

"I called the president [Gilvan Tavares] when they again bid less than €15m and he told me that the club won't accept any less than that”, he told Radio Itatiaia.

“Real Madrid are not going to sign Lucas Silva until they show Cruzeiro some respect.

“I thanked them for their interest, but they see themselves as the best in the world, whereas for me that's Cruzeiro”.

The 21-year-old, has impressed with his performances in defensive midfield for Cruzeiro since his elevation to first team in 2011/12 season.
