Agents have contacted Juventus to enquire whether they would be interested in signing Lukas Podolski from Arsenal.

Podolski is being chased by Juventus' Italian rivals Inter, who sent their sporting director to London for talks with Arsenal yesterday.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger does not want to lose Podolski and has promised him he will receive further playing time opportunities at the Emirates Stadium. But the German is frustrated at regularly warming the bench.

He is thought to have already agreed to join Inter if they can work out a deal with Arsenal.

However, developments behind the scenes are continuing and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, agents have contacted Juventus to enquire whether they would like to join the chase for Podolski.

The response though has not been positive.

Juventus' powerbrokers, including CEO Giuseppe Marotta, are not convinced of the merits of signing Podolski and are instead looking at other options first.
