Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes his side must be "clever" when preparing for the challenge of facing Manchester United tomorrow.

Louis van Gaal's men arrive at White Hart Lane in good form and sitting third in the Premier League table, but will come up against a Spurs side building real momentum under Pochettino.

Spurs have now won their last three league matches, the latest being a 2-1 win away at Leicester City.

And Pochettino has high hopes for when Manchester United come to town.

"We need this mentality to go into this game, to be brave, to try to fight in every action and try to play better than them", he told his club's site.

"Manchester United are in a very good moment like us and we have a tough game ahead. We need to be clever and first to rest after a big effort at Leicester.

"It will be a great atmosphere, a day for all the families to enjoy and in front of us, another very good team, but we will try to get the three points", Pochettino continued.

"We have showed character in every game and it’s important to keep this feeling."
