Heerenveen's sporting director has warned clubs interested in starlet Daley Sinkgraven to forget about completing a deal for the midfielder next month.

Sinkgraven is rated as one of the most promising talents in Dutch football and as a result has been linked with Ajax, Manchester United and, most recently, Liverpool.

Heerenveen though have no intention of losing their talented young schemer mid-season and sporting director Hans Vonk has told interested parties they would be wasting their time by making a January bid.

"I do not expect Daley to go now", Vonk told Voetbal International, tackling transfer rumours.

"It really is our intention to keep him at Heerenveen until the end of the season", he added.

Ajax coach Frank de Boer however could still test Heerenveen's resolve, with talk of a bid which would allow Vonk to keep his word and the Eredivisie champions to win the race.

"It would be an option to buy him and loan him to Heerenveen for half a year", De Boer said.
