Martin Odegaard has embarked upon the latest leg of his footballing tour of Europe, landing in Manchester on Sunday to spend time with both Manchester City and Manchester United.

The 16-year-old midfielder has been touring Europe's elite clubs, who have been battling to convince him to continue his career under their respective wing.

Odegaard has already trained with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, while Ajax, Celtic, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Arsenal are also in the chase for his signature.

Already a senior Norway international despite his tender years, Odegaard and his father Hans-Erik are taking their time over a decision.

The relatively short amount of time Odegaard is spending with each club has started to draw criticism, but Hans-Erik is sure the right approach is being taken.

"We have no influence on what others think of it", he explained to Norwegian daily VG.

"Everyone has an option about it, but we think this is the right approach."

Odegaard will now take in the surroundings at both Manchester City and Manchester United, adding those experiences to the others he has gained thus far.
