Inter coach Roberto Mancini has refused to be drawn on his side's efforts to quickly sign Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich.

The Italian giants are due to hold another round of talks with Bayern Munich and Shaqiri's representatives tomorrow in an attempt to push a deal over the line.

Liverpool are also interested in the Switzerland international and Inter are working overtime to ensure he lands in Milan and not on Merseyside, aiming to get the deal signed off tomorrow.

But speaking to Sky Italia after Inter's 1-1 draw with Juventus tonight, Mancini would not be drawn on the likelihood of his side signing Shaqiri over the next few days.

"I do not know if it will be possible", the Italian tactician said.

"The coach always hopes to be able to do things quickly, but sometimes you cannot."

Mancini also praised Lukas Podolski, who has joined Inter on loan from Arsenal and made his debut against Juventus.

"Podolski will give us so much.

"He is not in great condition, but he will give us a big hand."
