Leeds United will allow Nicky Ajose to remain at League One side Crewe Alexandra until May.

Ajose, bought by former Leeds boss David Hockaday from Peterborough United in the summer, has fallen out of favour at Elland Road and was loaned to Crewe last year.

He has hugely impressed at Gresty Road and Crewe have enquired about keeping Ajose at the club to aid in their fight against relegation from League One.

The Whites announced: "Forward Nicky Ajose has rejoined Crewe Alexandra on loan for the remainder of the season."

Ajose himself wanted to remain with the Alex, earning valuable playing time.

Leeds are themselves looking to bring in loan signings this month. The Whites are currently operating under a Football League transfer embargo, but have scope to sign four players on loan.
