Juventus have pulled out of talks with Galatasaray to sign Wesley Sneijder after the Turkish club refused to change their position.

Sneijder, who has been long linked with Manchester United, is thought to be keen on moving to Juventus where he is wanted by coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Italian officials flew to Istanbul for talks, but according to multiple reports from Italy, they have now headed home empty handed.

Galatasaray stuck to their stance of demanding Juventus meet the release clause in Sneijder's contract for a deal to be done.

The release clause sum sits at €20m, well beyond the amount Juventus were willing to pay for the former Inter playmaker.

Sneijder now looks set to remain at Galatasaray for at least the rest of the season.
