Real Madrid are prepared to employ Martin Odegaard's father to help the youngster adapt to life in the Spanish capital.

The European champions are quickly closing in on Odegaard's signature after flying him into Spain on a private jet earlier this week, amid suggestions the number 16 shirt is waiting for the midfielder.




Odegaard then took in Real Madrid's Copa del Rey clash against Atletico Madrid as a guest of president Florentino Perez, as the wooing continued.

 


The Norwegian international, who is still just 16 years old, is wanted by a who's who of Europe's elite, a group which includes Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.

He has still to sign on the dotted line with Real Madrid and according to multiple reports, the Spanish giants are looking at going an extra mile to help Odegaard feel ready to join and then settled.

Indeed, Real Madrid are ready to employ Odegaard's father, Hans-Erik, as a coach with the club's youth teams.

Hans-Erik is a former player and currently works as an assistant coach at top flight Norwegian side Mjondalen IF.

The 40-year-old enjoyed a playing career as a midfielder and turned out for his son's current club, Stromsgodset, along with Sandefjord.
