Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has rubbished reports of him being linked with a move to his former club Barcelona.

Luis Enrique, the current Barcelona manager, has faced speculation about his future following his team’s unexpected losses and reports of players being unhappy with his management style.

“There are a lot of options and the right people will make the right decisions to keep Barca up there among the best clubs in the world”, Guardiola said at a press conference, on being asked if he is the solution to Barcelona’s problems.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has announced that presidential elections will be held at the end of this season, a year earlier than scheduled.

“Laporta hasn't said that. You've read it somewhere but he's not said it”, Guardiola added, rubbishing the rumours of a possible move.
