Queens Park Rangers playmaker Adel Taarabt still has the ambition of playing for a big European club and is looking for the Loftus Road exit door.

The Moroccan spent the latter half of last season at AC Milan on loan from QPR, but the Rossoneri opted against making the move permanent last summer.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp publicly criticised the 25-year-old's work ethic earlier this term and the Moroccan has made only three league appearances for the club in the current campaign.

He made his first league start of the season in QPR’s 2-1 defeat to Burnley last weekend, but the player still has the ambition of playing for a big club.

The Moroccan confirmed that he is still trying to engineer a move away from QPR this month and revealed that Italian clubs have been in contact with him.

“No [I still want to leave QPR], my agent is working to find a solution”, Taarabt told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

“I have always said that I would like a change in scenery and I still do. There has been contact with Italian clubs, let's see.

“My goal is to fight for a club in Europe.”
