Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has picked up the Premier League Manager of the Month award for December, while Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin has picked up the Player of the Month accolade.
Pellegrini’s Manchester City enjoyed a fine unbeaten run in December with five wins and one draw, which saw them close the gap to league leaders Chelsea.
They won against Sunderland, Everton, Leicester, Crystal Palace, West Brom and drew against Burnley during a busy festive period.
Austin meanwhile has been one of the standout strikers of this season and he continued his fine form during the month of December.

He scored five goals in six games, which includes a hat-trick in QPR’s 3-2 win over West Brom, and has already scored 13 Premier League goals this season.
He has been a consistent performer for a team who sit 19th in the league table and are yet to win a point away from home this term.
