Chelsea are moving to scoop up Serbian talent Danilo Pantic and will then loan him to Vitesse Arnhem for the remainder of the season.

The Blues, who have a strong scouting network in Eastern Europe, have latched on to Pantic and are ahead of Juventus in the race for his services.

A central midfielder by trade, Pantic is just 18 years old and captains Serbia's Under-19 side.

He turns out at club level for Partizan Belgrade, but with a contract which expires in the summer, the Serbian giants are hoping to realise a fee for him this month.

According to Serbian daily Vecernje Novosti, Pantic is likely to cost around the €2m mark to sign this month, well within reach for Chelsea.

And should Chelsea sign the midfielder this month, they are likely to send him on loan to partner club Vitesse for the second half of the season.
