Spanish champions Atletico Madrid are set to reject Inter Milan’s bid for their midfielder Mario Suarez.
Suarez’s contract with Atletico Madrid contains a release clause of €24m and Inter’s bid is nowhere close to matching that figure.
Inter have made an offer of around €9m for the midfielder and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the Spanish champions are set to reject that bid.
Los Rojiblancos were never prepared to sell an important member of their squad in the middle of the season, especially when they are still within touching distance of league leaders Real Madrid.

Inter were led to believe by the player's agent that they had a chance of convincing Atletico Madrid to sell Suarez this month. However, this was never the case.
The scheduled meeting between the two clubs on Thursday will take place, but it will only be a formality as Atletico Madrid are believed to have already made their intentions known to Inter.
