PSV Eindhoven technical director Marcel Brands still has to pinch himself when he remembers that Vurnon Anita plays in the Premier League with Newcastle United.
The Magpies swooped to snap up the midfielder from Ajax in 2012 and Brands believes Anita's move to England is part of a growing phenomenon, which is seeing second rank players in the Netherlands become of interest to clubs in England.
Brands, who says he would have never even considered Anita for PSV, told the Algemeen Dagblad: "The average agent is again showing more interest in players. And not just in the top players who everyone wants.
"And even a player like Vurnon Anita can play in the Premier League", the PSV supremo continued.

"Anita, I still think, is one of the most miraculous transfers.
"Let's be honest. At Ajax he was almost a substitute and he will never be on our shortlist at PSV.
"He will never be a star player for Newcastle, but he is still there.
"Apparently he foundation from Ajax and the Eredivisie have been good enough", Brands added.
Anita has so far clocked up nine appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle this term. His contract at St. James' Park runs until 2017.
