Genoa are hoping to snap up Chelsea forward Stipe Perica on loan with a view to a permanent move.

The Rossoblu want to bolster key positions ahead of pushing to finish in the top three in Serie A this term and qualify for the Champions League next season.

Genoa are just five points off the top three at present, with 28 points from 29 games.

According to local daily Il Secolo XIX, Genoa want to take Perica on loan for the remainder of the campaign, with a purchase option also included in the agreement if he impresses.

The 19-year-old forward was snapped up by Chelsea in 2013 and instantly sent on loan to Dutch side NAC Breda to build up first team experience.

It is a loan deal which has been continually renewed and Perica has continued his development in the Netherlands this term.

Perica has clocked up ten appearances in the Eredivisie for Breda so far this season, hitting the back of the net on three occasions in the process.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea are open to parting with the 19-year-old.
