Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb to sign Arsenal and AC Milan target Marcelo Brozovic, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia.

The Croatian international has been the subject of interest for Arsenal and AC Milan, but both clubs have so far failed to meet Dinamo Zagreb’s asking price of €10m.

However, in a twist, it has been claimed that Dinamo Zagreb have accepted Inter's offer of €8m plus performance based bonuses and have sanctioned the midfielder's sale to Roberto Mancini's Nerazzurri.

While the other clubs approached the player's agent first regarding a deal, Inter approached Dinamo Zagreb directly to negotiate a transfer for the 22-year-old Croatian international, which quickly led to fruitful talks.

Though Dinamo Zagreb were not keen on letting the midfielder go for less than their quoted figure, the club are pleased with the way Inter approached the deal.

Inter are desperate to strengthen their midfield further this month and still have Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva on their sights.

Brozovic is expected to agree personal terms with Inter between today and tomorrow and then travel to Milan to sign on the dotted line for the former European champions.
