Paris Saint-Germain have rejected Laurent Blanc’s request to sell Argentina forward Ezequiel Lavezzi this winter, but the player will be available in the summer for around €15m.

The relationship between the player and the PSG manager has been deteriorating for the last few months, but the situation reached breaking point after Lavezzi was served with a two-match suspension by Blanc for indiscipline during their winter camp in Marrakech.

Relations between the two are believed to be at a tipping point and according to Le Parisien, the Frenchman wanted to sell the player in the winter transfer window.

But the PSG hierarchy have rejected their manager’s request as they are not willing to lose a player in the middle of the season, with very little time left to find a replacement for him.

However, the Parisians are ready to put Lavezzi on the shop window at the end of the season and the player will be available for around €15m.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Lavezzi since last summer and given the situation at the Parc des Princes, it remains to be seen whether Brendan Rodgers tries to get a deal done for the Argentine if he has the opportunity at the end of this campaign.
