Mauricio Pochettino feels Tottenham Hotspur must quickly move on from their surprise 2-1 home defeat to Leicester City in the FA Cup today.

Spurs had the better of the early exchanges at White Hart Lane and went ahead when Andros Townsend fired home a penalty in the 19th minute.

Pochettino's team were on top in the match, but could not add to their tally, the Argentine choosing to throw on first Christian Eriksen and then Emmanuel Adebayor as the hosts looked to put the game beyond Leicester.

Failing to score again cost Spurs badly and goals from Leonardo Ulloa (83rd minute) and Jeffrey Schlupp in injury time sent the hosts tumbling out of the FA Cup.

Pochettino feels mistakes cost his side, but has urged them to quickly focus on the next game, their League Cup semi-final second leg with Sheffield United.

"We made two mistakes at the end of the game and we paid by now being out of the FA Cup", he was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"The game was always under our control. We scored in the first half and created chances to add to it. It is football. We can make a mistake, but I am very disappointed because I think we expect to be through to the next round. So I'm not happy.

"Now we need to focus on the next game against Sheffield United [in the League Cup].

"In football you need to look forward."
