Celtic boss Ronny Deila is relishing his side's upcoming Old Firm clash against rivals Rangers, but insists he will treat it as just another game.

The Glasgow giants will come together for the first time since 2012 when they lock horns at Hampden next Sunday to contest a League Cup semi-final encounter.

Emotions are sure to run high in the came, but Deila, despite the match being his first Old Firm clash, is determined to keep a cool head.

Indeed, the Norwegian will treat the match as just another game, even though he well understands the significance.

"It's going to be a big, big day and a big match. But for us it is a football match as well and we will have to perform well to win the game", he told AFP.

And the Norwegian wants his men to focus on getting a good week's training under their belt in anticipation of the encounter.

"We have to have a good week now. I am looking forward to every game now as we look sharper and also the spirit in the team is better so we are going in the right direction."

Celtic squeezed past Ross County with a 1-0 away win yesterday to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to three points over Aberdeen.

Deila's men also boast a game in hand on the Dons which mean they can potentially extend their advantage to six points.
