Roma are continuing to close in on a deal for Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah, though an alternative has been identified in the event talks are not successful.

Salah turned out for Chelsea in their 4-2 defeat to Bradford City in the FA Cup yesterday and Blues boss Jose Mourinho insists he would be happy to keep the Egyptian at the club.

The Giallorossi are proposing to take Salah on loan for a fee of €500,000.
