Emile Heskey is set to miss Bolton Wanderers' FA Cup replay against Liverpool with a hamstring strain, manager Neil Lennon has confirmed.

The 37-year-old turned out against Liverpool at Anfield in Saturday's 0-0 draw for 56 minutes, before being substituted.

But Lennon is likely not to be able to call upon the former Liverpool striker when the Reds head to the Macron Stadium to contest the replay on 4th February.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of his side's clash against Rotherham tomorrow night, Lennon explained: "Emile Heskey has got a hamstring strain. He will have a scan today, but he could be out for two to three weeks, which is a blow."

Nevertheless, Lennon is still confident Bolton can spring a surprise when Liverpool head to the Macron Stadium, with the Northern Irishman well aware the replay is a game the Reds did not want due to their busy schedule.

"The replay is certainly a game Liverpool could have done without, but it gives us a great chance of progressing", Lennon added.

Lennon's Bolton currently sit 16th in the Championship table, having collected 33 points from 26 games this season.

The Trotters have not been beaten in 2015 yet, with a record of two wins and two draws to their name.
