New Leeds United signing Granddi N'Goyi is hoping to make an impact against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

N'Goyi completed the formalities of his loan switch to Leeds from Italian outfit Palermo over the weekend, with the move being officially announced this evening.

N'Goyi, an energetic midfielder schooled at Paris Saint-Germain, is now hoping for an opportunity to make an impact in Saturday's Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield.

But whether or not he is given the chance to do so is something he is leaving entirely in head coach Neil Redfearn's hands.

N'Goyi told his club's site: "My role is to help the team. If the coach chooses to play me I will do my best for the team.

"I hope to show what I can do on Saturday."

The midfielder, whose deal contains an option for Leeds to keep him on a permanent basis if he can impress in the Championship between now and the end of the season, is looking to enjoy the regular first team football which eluded him at Serie A side Palermo.

"I’m happy to be here. I’m very happy to be joining a good group.

"I will do my best for this club. I’m happy because I didn’t play a lot of games in Palermo, I’m very happy."

N'Goyi joins a side sitting 20th in the Championship and just six points above the drop zone. The midfielder will be aiming to help Redfearn's men quickly climb the table.
