Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Douglas Costa admits he would love to play under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, claiming the Portuguese enjoys success everywhere.

The Blues have been linked with making a move for the Brazilian amid speculation that winger Mohamed Salah and forward Andre Schurrle could depart Stamford Bridge this month.

Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado is thought to be Chelsea's primary target, however the English outfit are unwilling to meet the €35m release clause contained in the Colombian's contract, throwing other names into play.

And one is Costa, who has heard of interest from Chelsea and is keen to do what he can to encourage a bid.

"Playing for Chelsea is a dream for any player", Costa admitted to Brazilian daily Globo Esporte.

"He [Mourinho] is a very clever coach and he's won everywhere he's been.

"If there is one thing that would make me happy playing for Chelsea this [working under Mourinho] is it."

The 24-year-old was snapped up by Shakhtar Donetsk from Gremio in 2010 for a fee of around €6m.

Costa has enjoyed huge success at the Donbass Arena, picking up five Ukrainian Premier League titles, three Ukrainian Cups and three Ukrainian Super Cups.

He has however only accumulated two senior Brazil caps.
