Real Madrid’s latest acquisition, Lucas Silva, has expressed his happiness on becoming part of the European champions at his unveiling at the Santiago Bernabeu today.

Silva, who arrived from Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro, was also linked with a move to Premier League outfit Arsenal, but Real Madrid secured the youngster’s services and swooped to take him to Spain.




At his unveiling in front of the Real Madrid faithful, the Brazilian expressed his delight at becoming part of their star-studded team, also paying tribute to Cruzeiro for smoothing the transfer.

“I’m very happy to be here, it is a dream come true. I thank God and both presidents of Cruzeiro and Real Madrid and everybody involved in my presentation. I’m really happy."
 


The Brazilian midfielder added that he is satisfied with the way things have turned out for him and feels ready to perform to the best of his abilities, while conceding he has arrived at Real Madrid sooner than he expected.
