Arsenal are being linked with a move for Juventus target and young Empoli defender Daniele Rugani.

Juventus co-own the Italy Under-21 international along with Empoli and are believed to be close to agreeing a €3m deal with the club for the complete rights of the player.

But according to Italian daily Tuttosport, to make things complicated for the Bianconeri, Arsenal are eyeing up tempting the 20-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are close to sealing a move for Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista, but Arsene Wenger is keen on Rugani and may launch a bid to sign him before the transfer window slams shut early next week.

Rugani, who is an Italian Under-21 international, has been in impressive form for Empoli this season and has produced eye catching performances for a side who are just above the relegation zone in Serie A.
