Cagliari and Sassuolo are threatening to find common ground on striker Leonardo Pavoletti, who has been chased by Leeds United throughout this month.

Gianfranco Zola, now coach at Cagliari, is keen on adding Pavoletti to his strike force and is hopeful a deal is there to be done before the transfer window closes.

And there may be common ground between the two clubs as Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco takes a liking to a player in Zola's Cagliari ranks.

Indeed, the Sassuolo boss is keen on striker Samuele Longo, who he would like to see head the other way if Pavoletti moves to Cagliari.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, an accommodation of sorts could be on the cards which would allow both Zola and Di Francesco to get their men.
