Crystal Palace are being linked with a move for Togo international and FC Nantes winger Serge Gakpe this month.

The 27-year-old’s contract with Nantes expires in the summer and the club are keen on offloading him to recover a transfer fee, rather than seeing him walk away for free in six months' time.

A versatile attacker, who can also play as a striker, Gakpe has scored just twice in all competitions this season and has made just 12 starts in the league for Nantes.

Alan Pardew is keen on adding one more attacker to his Crystal Palace squad before the window ends next week and has zeroed in on Gakpe as cut-price option for this month.

According to L’Equipe, Crystal Palace are weighing up a move for the winger as Pardew is insisting on bolstering his attacking options for the second half of the season.

However, the Eagles will encounter tough opposition from Serie A outfit Torino, who are also eyeing a deal for the attacker in the winter transfer window.

The former Monaco man has also scored four times in 25 appearances for Togo on the international stage.
