FIFA are set to investigate Real Madrid’s youth transfer policy and have asked the club to provide details on 51 players.

Real Madrid's fierce rivals Barcelona are not allowed to buy any players for the next two transfer windows after irregularities were found in their youth transfer policy.

Now Real Madrid are set to face similar investigations and football’s governing body will look into the transfers of 51 under-aged players who Real Madrid signed in the past few years.

Los Blancos are confident that their dealings were within the rules and said in a statement that the majority of 51 players were exempt from the rules for various reasons.

The club pointed out that ten of those players are Spanish nationals and 23 foreign players were already registered with Spanish clubs.
