Barcelona forward Neymar has revealed that he is playing his best football since he joined the Catalan giants in the summer of 2013.

Luis Enrique's men currently sit second in La Liga, just one point shy of the leaders Real Madrid, although the European champions have a game in hand. Barcelona have comfortably qualified for Champions League round of 16, where they have been drawn to play Manchester City when the competition resumes in February.

Neymar is enjoying a scintillating run of form this season having already scored 14 league goals and assisted a further five so far. He scored two and assisted the same number in Barcelona’s 6-0 thrashing of Elche on Saturday.

The Brazil international believes he is in his best form since his move to the Catalan capital.

“I don't know if this is the best I'll ever be, but I'm in the best form I've been in since joining Barcelona”, Neymar was quoting as saying by Marca.

However, the 22-year-old admitted that he is yet to reach the peak of his powers.

“I'm constantly developing as a player, but I have a long way to go.

“I still have a lot to do at Barcelona. Yes, I've grown up and developed a lot”, Neymar concluded.

Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the first leg of their Spanish Cup quarter-final tie last week. Neymar will look to continue his stellar form when the Catalans take on Diego Simeone’s men in the second leg of their tie at the Vicente Calderon tomorrow.
