Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado has not agreed any deal in principle with Chelsea for a transfer this winter, it has been claimed.

The Colombian has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this month and it is believed that Jose Mourinho is keen on adding the winger to his squad before the winter window shuts next week.

He has a release clause of €35m and Fiorentina are adamant that they are not going to sell the 26-year-old for anything less than the figure in his contract.

It has been speculated that Cuadrado has already agreed personal terms with the Blues, but according to Italian daily Tuttosport, the player’s representatives have insisted that no deal is in place.

Though they are interested in the player, Chelsea are not ready to pay his release clause and are trying to find ways to reach a negotiated agreement with La Viola.

However, Fiorentina are aware that a number of Chelsea players are looking for a way out of the club this winter, which could provide the Blues the extra finances to trigger Cuadrado’s release clause and take him to west London before next Monday.
