With the winter transfer window approaching its end, Fiorentina are desperately trying to find ways to offload Leeds United target Josip Ilicic.

Though both the player and the club are ready to part ways this month, La Viola have found it hard to offload the player.

Bologna are interested in signing the schemer and their financial offer is also acceptable to Fiorentina, but the Slovenian is reluctant to play in the second tier of Italian football.

Torino are one of the clubs who are keen on taking the 26-year-old under their wing, but have so far failed to come up with a financial package that will please the Florence-based club.

However, with the transfer window on its last legs, Fiorentina have realised that time is ticking away and according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, they are desperate to see the back of Ilicic by next Monday.

Leeds have a long term interest in the player, however  Ilicic’s reluctance to play in the second tier and their Football League transfer embargo has stopped the Whites making a move for him this month.

However, with time ticking away, it remains to be seen whether the Whites look to take advantage of the situation by making a last minute offer for the player, tempting Fiorentina with a loan proposal with a view to a permanent transfer, as they have already done with Palermo pair Sol Bamba and Granddi N'Goyi.
